1Who we are

MB Smart Meals is a meal prep service based in Miami, Florida, operated by MB Culinary Advisors LLC (“MB Smart Meals”, “we”, “us” or “our”). Our catering and private events are offered under our sister brand, MB Culinary, which is operated by the same company.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit mbsmartmeals.com, create an account, subscribe to a meal plan, request catering or contact us, and how we use and protect it.

2Information we collect

Information you give us:

• Account and order details: your name, email address, phone number and delivery address.
• Meal preferences: your dietary preferences, food allergies, nutrition goals and macros, so we can personalize your menu. We treat allergy and health-related details with extra care and only use them to prepare your meals.
• Catering requests: your name, phone number, preferred contact method, email (optional), event location and the details of your request.
• Newsletter: your email address if you subscribe to our weekly menus and offers.
• Messages: anything you share with us by email, phone, text message or WhatsApp.

Information collected automatically: when you use our website, we collect basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and device, and we use cookies needed for the site to work (see “Cookies” below).

3How we use your information

• To prepare, personalize and deliver your meals.
• To create and manage your account and your subscription.
• To process payments.
• To contact you about your orders and deliveries.
• To respond to catering requests and other questions.
• To send you menus, offers and promotions, only if you have agreed to receive them.
• To keep our website secure and improve our service.
• To comply with our legal obligations.

4Payments

Payments are processed securely by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store your full card number or card security code on our website or systems.

5Text messages (SMS) and WhatsApp

If you give us your phone number, we may contact you by phone call, text message (SMS) or WhatsApp about your orders and deliveries.

SMS program. By opting in on our sign-up form you agree to receive recurring automated text messages from MB Smart Meals (MB Culinary Advisors LLC) about your weekly menu and meal plan, including a personal link to review your weekly menu, menu reminders and updates about your meal plan and deliveries. Message frequency varies (about 2 messages per week). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

What we keep for this program: your mobile phone number, preferred messaging channel and language, the date and time you gave consent to receive text messages and the consent wording you agreed to, and the meal choices and comments you submit on your personal weekly menu page.

We will only send you promotional messages, such as offers and new menus, if you have agreed to receive them. You can stop them at any time by replying STOP or by telling us.

We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

6Email marketing

If you subscribe to our emails, we will send you our weekly menus, nutrition tips and offers. Every marketing email includes a link to unsubscribe, and you can also ask us to remove you at any time.

7How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We only share it with people and companies that help us run our service, and only as needed:

• Our delivery team: our deliveries are made by our own team member, who receives your name, phone number and delivery address to deliver your order.
• Service providers: our website hosting (Hostinger), our online store and account system (WooCommerce), our forms and email tools, and our payment provider (Stripe). These providers may only use your information to provide their services to us.
• MB Culinary: catering requests are handled by our sister brand MB Culinary, part of the same company.
• Legal reasons: if required by law, or to protect our rights, our customers or the public.

8Cookies

Our website uses cookies that are necessary for it to work, for example to keep you logged in, remember your cart and process your order. Our store also uses a cookie to understand how customers find our website (for example, from Instagram or a search engine).

We do not currently use advertising cookies or third-party analytics. If this changes, we will update this policy. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the site, like your account and checkout, may stop working.

9How long we keep your information

We keep your information while you have an account or an active subscription, and afterwards only as long as needed for the purposes described above, for example to keep records of orders and payments for tax and accounting purposes. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.

10How we protect your information

We use reasonable security measures to protect your information, including a secure (HTTPS) website, password-protected accounts and trusted service providers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data and limit access to the people who need it.

11Your choices and rights

You can contact us at any time to:

• Ask what personal information we have about you.
• Correct or update your information. You can also do this in your account.
• Ask us to delete your information or your account.
• Stop receiving marketing emails or messages.

To make a request, email us at [email protected]. We may need to confirm your identity before completing your request.

12Children

Our website and services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

13Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If the changes are important, we will let our customers know.
